Father Zbig Zomerfeld

I am a priest in the Archdiocese of Detroit, who has been assigned to St. Mary Roman Catholic Church here in Port Huron for the last 14 years. I am also Moderator for the Blue Water Family North, Family of Parishes. I was born in Poland and studied in Italy, where I obtained a PhD in Biblical Theology. 

My passion is explaining the Word of God in its integrity and faith in general. In the Church’s eyes, the Word of God and the Sacraments are the biggest signs of love from our Redeemer and Creator. I appreciate sincere friendships and I relax when I read good books and cook.

My favorite thing about SM/MCA is seeing the students in the Church on Sundays and during the week. We are guaranteeing the future of our Church and school when we see our families attend Mass. I love hearing little ones during the Mass because that means our Church is growing.
