The third through fifth grade years expand with additional developmentally appropriate programs, activities and responsibilities. The curriculum emphasizes strong academics with the support of athletic, leadership and service opportunities.
Academic focus:
Students become prepared to enter our rigorous middle school program. Integrated into academics is an emphasis on building self-esteem, study skills, time management, presentation skills as well as technology and leadership skills.
Enrichment opportunities
Extended faith formation opportunities become available through altar serving, reading the Gospel at morning prayer and pledge, and at weekly Mass. In fifth grade, students are invited to participate in D.A.R.E., take on lead roles in the Academy Christmas play and end their fifth grade year with a “Bridging Mass”- a Mass and ceremony honoring them as they transition into middle school.
