D.A.R.E.

Students in Grade 5 receive training from a police officer who is a certified instructor with the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program.

ACADEMIC OLYMPICS

The annual Blue Water Catholic Schools Academic Olympics were held Saturday, February 23, 2013 at St. Augustine’s Catholic School in Richmond. Students in grades 5-8 compete in Forensics, Problem Solving, Math, and Religion.

Congratulations to all of our students and thank you to our teachers and coaches for all of their hard work.

PENGUIN PROJECT

Penguin Project for Port Huron Hospital Festival of Trees

Middle School Students raised money for the Port Huron Hospital Festival of Trees which benefits the Hospital Foundation. Students had a contest between grades to raise the most money for the hospital. This year, 6th grade won! Each class dressed and decorated a penguin, which will be on display at the Festival of Trees.

NATIONAL JUNIOR HONOR SOCIETY

The National Junior Honor Society welcomes students in grades 7 and 8 who have an exceptional academic record to join our leadership and service group. Induction is held in November and service opportunities take place all year.

Following are pictures from a 2012 service project of assisting our local Society of St. Vincent dePaul in providing Christmas gifts for local families and a 2013 project where students made fleece blankets for the Oncology Ward at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.

MATHCOUNTS

MathCounts is an afterschool club for Middle School students (grades 6,7,8). Led by parent volunteers and Academy staff, the club is for students who want to take their problem solving skills to the next level and have fun at the same time.
